Police chief says Smollett staged his assault because "he was dissatisfied with his salary"

Chicago Superintendent of Police Eddie T. Johnson has accused Jussie Smollet of staging his own assault in an emotional press conference in The police chief stated that Smollet's alleged stagging of hoax attack was a "Public Stunt to promote his career." "Jussie Smollett took advantage of the pain and anger of racism to promote his career". Johnson said. "Why would and African-American man, use the sysmbolism of a noose to make false accusations?.. How can an individual who has been embraced by the city of Chicago turn around and slap everyone in the city in the face with these false claims?." he continued Johnson also charged that Jussie Smollett, who rose to stardom after his role on the hit show Empire, where he played the role of Hakim, orchestrated his own assaults because he is dissatisfied with his salary. He also accused Smollett of sending himself a hate-filled letter to the Fox studio where the hit movie was filmed.

INEC releases the total numbers of PVCs collected in each states

Ahead of the rescheduled Presidential and National Elections, the Independent National Electoral commission, INEC, has reassured Nigerians of it commitment to conduct a free and fair Elections across the country. The INEC chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu stated during a press briefing in Abuja that the commission is 100 percent ready for Saturday's poll. Yakubu used the opportunity to further remind Nigerians that the total numbers of registered voters across the federation remains 84,004,084 and the total numbers of collected Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) as at February 11, 2019 is 72,775,502. The Honourable chairman of the commission also stated that there all large numbers of registered voters who failed to collect their PVCs. The total numbers of uncollected PVCs is 11,228,582. Ronaldo taunts Atletico madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo continued to taunt Atletico Madrid supporters after Juventus lost 2-0 against the Spanish team, he raised five fingers indicating that he have five champions league titles and  Atletico have none. The Portuguese superstar was jeered throughout the match by the home fans at the Wanda Metropolitano on Wednesday night and he responded by showing five fingers to indicate the amount of Champions league he has. The 34 year-old was still furious with the Spanish side fans reactions yesterday and he continue to taunt them at the mixed zone when he was leaving the stadium. He didn't speak directly with any journalist but he held a five- finger gesture and made a zero gesture with his hand and declared "I won five champions league and this guy none" When asked if his team can overturned the 2-0 deficit at the Allianz Stadium in Turin he said "we will see in the second leg".

FG declares Friday public holiday

Ahead of the forthcoming general elections,  the Federal Government of Nigeria has declared friday, February 22nd, 2019 as public holiday. The announcements was made by the honourable minister of Interior Lt. Gen. Bello Dambazau in  Abuja on Wednesday night. The holiday is to ensure that people return to their various polling units so that they can be able to vote in the reschedule Saturday's poll. However, the public holiday will exclude banks and other industries that offers essential services across the Nation. " The Federal Government declares Friday, February 22nd a work free day, those offering essential services and bankers are excluded. " " The work free day is to enable citizens return to their polling units for the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly elections." Saturday night started on a good note for Barcelona's midfielder Kelvin Prince-Boateng as he made his Laliga Santander debut against Real Valladolid at the Camp Nou, but he returned home to find out that his house as been robbed by some hoodlums.  The Ghanaian returned to his home in the northern part of Sarria district after the match and found out that his jewelries, watches as well as money worth 300,000 to 400,000 euros has stolen while he was away playing for Barcelona at the Camp Nou. Marca reported that same thing happened to Boateng's teammate Jordi Alba last year when the Spainard was playing for Barcelona against Inter Millan in Italy.
