US President Donald Trump slams Jussie Smollett for insulting tens of Millions of people

United States of America President Donald Trump has slammed Jussie Smollett, who was accused of staging his on attack because he was dissatisfied with his $100,000 per episode salary with Fox Studio, where the empire was filmed. President Trump took to his official Twitter handle to weign in on smollett's case after the Chicago Superintendent of Police accused the Empire actor of staging his own assaults and that his claim of being a victim of racism and homophobic attack were false. "@jussiesmollet what about MAGA and the tens of millions of people you insulted with your racist and Dangerous comments!?.#MAGA." Trump wrote.

INEC releases the total numbers of PVCs collected in each states

Ahead of the rescheduled Presidential and National Elections, the Independent National Electoral commission, INEC, has reassured Nigerians of it commitment to conduct a free and fair Elections across the country. The INEC chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu stated during a press briefing in Abuja that the commission is 100 percent ready for Saturday's poll. Yakubu used the opportunity to further remind Nigerians that the total numbers of registered voters across the federation remains 84,004,084 and the total numbers of collected Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) as at February 11, 2019 is 72,775,502. The Honourable chairman of the commission also stated that there all large numbers of registered voters who failed to collect their PVCs. The total numbers of uncollected PVCs is 11,228,582. Honorable minister of Works, housing and power, Babatunde Raji Fashola held the second edition of the Babatunde Raji Fashola (BRF) Gabfest today at City Hall in Catholic mission street, Lagos island. Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi came off the bench to score only goal as Nigeria secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over a resilient Zambian side at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Saturday. Fulham sign Liverpool youngster on a season-long loan

Championship side Fulham has announced the signing of Sheyi Ojo from Liverpool on a season-long loan. The 20 year-old, who is expected to make his debut against Sheffield Wednesday this weekend,  has previously spent times in English second tier league with Wolveshampton Wanderers and Wigan Athletic. Ojo, along with other players with Nigerian root such as Tomori, Dominic Solanke and Lookman Ademola, was a member of the Young lions of England that won the under 20 World Cup in South Korea earlier this year. Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) under the leadership of president Amaju Pinnick, are confident of bringing the three young lions International into the Super Eagles of squad in coming years.

Another building collapse in Lagos

A building in lagos island area of lagos state collapesed this afternoon. We gathered that the building collapesed as a result of the telecommunication mast that was erected on it last two weeks. At least 18 people has been reportedly rescued by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) as a four-storey building collapsed in Massey/karena area of lagos island. According to eye witness reported who identified himself as Lucas, the incident occured earlier today 25th july, 2017 at about 2pm. He also said the building was collapsed because of a telecommunocation mast that was erected there two weeks ago. "The telecommunication mast that was erected two weeks ago cursed the collapse of the building because it was erected on a defective building structure." he said. Students at  University of California, Los Angeles  (UCLA) campus were evacuated from the students' residence last night after a  bomb threat  was received, local media reports. A suspicious package was found in the campus recreation area. The University evacuated three students' residence blocks located in the central area of the campus after receiving a bomb threat phone call, UCLA spokesman   Brian Haas confirmed. At 22:00 hours local time (7am in the morning in Spain) the campus emergency alarm was sounded and the first warnings started to appear on social networking media: "Emergency alert: Please evacuate to Drake Stadium".  Police, with sniffer dogs combed the area but no signs of explosives have been found. Gay dads pregnant with first biological child

Two gay dads, who already have two adopted kids, are about to welcome their first biological child.  Biff Chaplow and Trystan Reese have expressed delight at experiencing what it's like to create a child and watch it develop in the womb before welcoming it into the world. They did not have that with their first two so they are happy to experience this "normal" birth process, according to them. The couple, who live in Portland, Oregon, adopted Biff's niece and nephew, Hailey and Riley, after Biff's sister suffered substance abuse problems in 2011. Though they loved being parents to the 6 and 9-year-olds, they always longed to have a baby of their own, so Trystan, who is transgender, tried for a baby and he first managed to conceive in 2016 but they suffered a miscarriage at six weeks. This newborn baby defied nurse’s belief, normal developmental goals and gravity to take to her tiny feet and walk in the hospital just minutes after being born. The stunned workers in the Brazilian maternity hospital were trying to bath the little girl with the very large will for the very first time. But the newborn had very different ideas. In the video, a midwife cradles the little baby across her chest with one arm and is clearly stunned as the miracle baby wriggles to walk on her own. Thunder Lighting Strikes Man dead in Lagos

An unidentified corpse has been abandoned in Berger Lay by along Lagos-ibadan expressway. The man was allegedly struck to death by thunder lighting. Eyewitness reports testified that the man was struck with the lighting of thunder during a heavy downpour on Saturday, May 27. Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) ASP Olarinde Famous - Cole disclosed that the incident has drawn the attention of the Nigerian Police and he called on the DPO of Isheri Police Division to see to the corpse. He said: "The Police will remove the corpse and investigation will be carried out."

35 More Nigerians Deported By UK Government

35 Nigerians were deported by UK Government  According to reports, United Kingdom (UK) Government deported 35 Nigerians on Wednesday May 24, 2017. The deportees were deported for committing immigration related offences. The deportees(30 males and 5 females) were brought back to Nigeria on a chartered aircraft. The chartered aircraft arrived in Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos at about 5:30 am. The deported Nigerians were received by Officer of Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Police, National Agency for the prohibition of trafficking in person (NAPTIP),and the Federal Airport Authority in Nigeria (FAAN) . Recall that UK Government had earlier deported 23 Nigerians for similar Offences. 

Police Commission Announces Mass Promotion of Officers

The chairman of Nigerian Police commission, Retired Inspector General Mike Okiro, has disclosed that there will be mass promotion of senior Police officers, in the next three months. The officers that would be promoted, are those who have be stagnated in one rank.  "I feel for them, because it is not because they have bad records but because there are no vacancies. You cannot promote an officer to a higher rank and there is no office for his or her new rank". The ex IG told WFM 91.7 in lagos. He also stated that his commission and the inspector General of Police, Idris Ibrahim are working out a structure to provide vacancies for officers, who are due for promotion but has not been promoted due to lack of vacancies for them.

At least 22 killed after suicide bomb attack in Manchester

According to Manchester evening report, at least 22 people are dead and 59 others injured, after a suspected terror attack at Manchester Area during an Grande pop concert. Children were also reported to have been killed by the deadly explosions that rocked the city. Greater Manchester Police said, the lone attacker detonated an improvised explosions device, the attacker was said to have died after he detonated the device. According to the reports, six ambulance attended the scene and the 59 injured people are now receiving treatments in Six hospitals in Manchester. People are now using social media to look out for their missing loved ones , the police also said that an Emergency number 0161 856 9400, has been set up. Investigation is still ongoing to known whether the solo attacker "was acting along or as part of a network," said the chief constable Ian Hopkins.
