Angel Di Maria opens up on his Manchester united nightmare


Angel Di Maria has revealed that his stint with Manchester United was short because of his argument with coach Louis Van Gaal .

Manchester United signed the Argentine super star from Real Madrid for a British record of 60 million pounds in 2014 after winning the champions league with the Spanish giant.

Di Maria's early performances were promising as he scored vital goals in his first few games for the Red Devils, he won Manchester united's player of the month for September after  netting two goals and provided two assists in his first four games for United .

His strike in the 5-3 loss against Leicester city was voted Manchester united's goal of the month for the month of September .

But he loses form in the business end of the season and he ended up leaving for Paris Saint Germain after playing just 32 games and scored just four goal for the Red Devils. 

"I was at Manchester and everything was fine with Van Gaal during the first two months and after one fight, things weren't the same. The relationship wasn't the same again" .Di Maria told Argentine television Programme ESPN Redes.

"The disagreement with Van Gaal occurred because he always showed me negative things and that held me back.

"One day i confronted him and asked him to stop showing me bad and negative things because am doing well and i asked why wasn't he showing me good things.

"He didn't like how i spoke to him and from there the whole problem started." 

The former Benfica player provided two assists on his return to Old Trafford with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions league round last of 16, first leg tie.
