Sergio Ramos is the best defender in the world - Chiellini



Ahead of Juventus' champions league round of 16 tie with Ateletico de Madrid, Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini has stated that Real Madrid and spanish national team captain Sergio Ramos is the best defender in the world.

The Italian, who has been labeled the best center defender in the world, believes Sergio Ramos is head and shoulder above other center defenders in the sport including himself.

"I already said it before our tie last year." He said when asked about Ramos.

"Now he even takes penalties, he is the best defender at this time and he is deservedly so"



"He rarely made mistakes and if he does its because we are all wrong,

"He is a leader both on and of the pitch. he is one of those players that can influenced both teams.

"last season the nninety-something it was 3-0 to our favor but I think with Ramos it would not have  happened".

Sergio Ramos has been in great form for Real Madrid this season scoring 11 goals in 37 appearances.

However he was sent off for the 25th time in laliga in their 1-2 lost to Girona on sunday and he will also miss the Champions league round of 16, 2nd leg tie against Ajax.

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed that his girlfriend Georgina Rodriquez is pregnant with his fourth child.
