Guardiola confesses Messi, Xavi and Iniesta made winning two Champions league easy

Pep Guardiola

Manchester city manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that his players at Barcelona helped him to win two UEFA Champions league titles.

Nigerian Journalist Oma Akatugba quizzed Guardiola at a press conference ahead of Manchester city's Champions league round of 16 tie with Schalke O4.

The journalist wanted to know Guardiola's stance to a disagreement that has splits his countrymen.

"You are extremely popular in Nigeria after your achivement with Barcelona" the journalist began.

"And you caused a massive Argument on Nigeria's Twitter space. Those who are for Pep believed that Pep is the greatest manager in the world.

And those who are against Pep argued that Pep has not been able to win the Champions league since he left Barcelona and their argument is because you don't have players like Messi, Iniesta and Xavi that is why you have been unable to win the champions league." Oma concluded.

"I completely agree with them (his critics)" Pep responded.

" When I was there (Barcelona) I said that I had incredible players, I did in Munich and do in Manchester but in Barcelona I was a lucky guy, so I would agree with them."

The former Bayern Munich gaffer has two Champions league titles to his name and they were won during his time with Spanish giant Barcelona.
