Emmanuel Macron becomes the Youngest President in France history

A 39 year-old Emmanuel Macron won the France Presidential Election against all Odds . With this victory, the Centrist candidate becomes the youngest President in the history of the country. Macron accumulated over 50 percent of the total votes, he defeated Le pen by 65.5% to 34.5% of the total votes. Mr Macron also became the first man to win a presidential election outside the two main traditional parties in France since 1958. "This is a new page, I want it's to be a page of hope and renewed trust," he said  The new president said to his fans "Tonight you won, France won. Everyone told us it was impossible, but they don't know France."

President Buhari leaves for treatment in London, hands over to VP

President Muhammadu Buhari received the 80 chibok school girl released by Boko Haram at the presidential villa in Abuja today May 7,2017. The girls were released yesterday May 6, after a lengthy negotiation with the terriost group. The president addressed them in his personal living room, according to his twitter handle. 80 freed Chibok girls lands in Abuja today

The 80 Chibok school girl that were released yesterday May 6, by the deadly terriost  group BOKO Haram are presently in Abuja. The 80 chibok school girls were received and addressed by Abba Kyari, who is the president's chief of staff at the Abuja Airport. Vanguard reported that an anonymous source close to the girls said one of the girl was carrying a baby, which was believed to be hers. It was also reported that one Nigerian senator identified as Shehu Sani disclosed that the negotiation between the Federal Government and the terriost group lasted for three or four months.

Dogara settles patients' N3.76m Hospital bill

The speaker of the Nigeria House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara on friday May 5,showed some Patients at the Abubakar Tafawa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi state the dividends of Democracy by paying their Hospital bills.  The speaker paid N1.26 million for five patients with critical issues, he also dropped N2.5 million with the hospital's management to cover the bills of others patients. The lawmaker said the settlement of the bills wouldn't have been possible without the assistance of his colleagues, who had concern for patients in need. He said: " I want to say that with the contributions from some of my colleagues, colleagues, will settle the bills of some of the cases we came across." The speaker claimed his visits to the hospital was part of his tour of projects in his constituency and to thank the people of his constituency for their support.

The leader of indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) meets his parents for the first time since he was released from Kuje Prison in Abuja. Kanu arrived at his home town Isiara Afara, Umuahia in Abia state on friday, May 5, 2017. The IPOB leader was released from Kuje prison last week. His father told Naij that he's full of joy as his son returns home safely. His words "My heart is full of joy over his return.return. Am extremely grateful to God who has done this because it could only have been him."

Senate Bars seven accredited Pressmen from covering the Plenary

The Nigerian Senate barred Cameramen from the seven accredited Television stations from airing it's proceedings of the plenary yesterday, May 04. According to Punch report, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki had earlier spoken with the Journalists to mark the World Press Day, where he make it clear that the pressmen have the freedom to carry out their responsibilities. The Senate Accredited thirteen Television Stations for the coverage of it's proceedings of the plenary but the Senate  only gave access to Silverbird Television (STV), Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), African Independent Television (AIT), Channels Television, Television continental (TVC) and New Age. However, the Senate press Corp protested against the restrictions of the other seven accredited television stations from covering the Senate plenary. The President absence from Federal Executive Council meetings in recent days triggered the speculations that President Muhammadu Buhari's health is in bad state. Nnamdi Kanu fulfils Bail conditions

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has finally fulfilled the conditions attached to his release by a Federal High Court in Abuja. Nnamdi Kanu fulfilled the bail terms in the presence of a Jewish priest, Immanuel- El shalom, former deputy Governor of Abia state, Senator Enyinnama  Abaribe, Tochuckwu Uchendu who's a chartered Accountant in Abuja and the deputy Senate speaker Ike Ekweremadu. Justice Nyako, who presided over the trial, granted Nnamdi Kanu bail on health ground on tuesday, April 25, 2017. However, justice Nyako attached stringent Conditions that Nnamdi Kanu must meet before perfecting his bail.

IPOB vows to shut down Nigeria on May 30

The indigenous people of Biafra has vowed to shut down the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the 30th of May, 2017. The group made the announcement via their spokesman Emeka Powerful statements. "We should not be discouraged by the court ruling of April 25, 2017. Rather, we should be focused on May 30,2017 remembrance day, Which is the priority of every IPOB member to ensure that no movement of any sort, both human and vehicular, across Biafra land on that day, WIll take place. Mr Tunji Adeleke, who is the son of the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke has made some allegations concerning the death of his father. He claimed that his father was murdered because of three things. According to the Punch report, Mr Tunji Adeleke said his father was killed because of Position, Power and Money. The son of the late senator claimed his father was not ill before his painful death and that he was killed by his colleagues because of his intention to contest for the Gubernatorial election in the state. Adeleke's view is contrary to the report of the Autopsy carried out on Senator Adeleke by the pathologist. The pathologist said: "Senator Adeleke died as a result of an overdose of painkillers intravenously administered on him ." The late senator Isiaka Adeleke died of heart attack on Sunday April 23, 2017.

Senator Isiaka Adeleke who died yesterday Sunday, April 23, has been buried according to Muslim rites. The Senator, who was the first executive Governor of Osun state was laid to rest today, Monday April 24 in his hometown Ede, Osun state. Governor Ibikunle Amosu and Governor Rotimi Akeredolu were present at the burial to pay last respect to the late politician. According to Naij report, angry youth collapsed the canopy where Governor Amusu, Governor Akeredolu and other dignitaries were sitting. They also chased out Idiat Babalola, who is a Commissioner nominee of Governor of the state. Idiat Babalola was rescued by Governor Amosu and his security aides as the irate youths threw mango fruits and sticks at her.
