Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp Fined by FA

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been fined for his comments on Referee Kelvin Friend's performance in the 1-1 draw with West Ham at the London Stadium earlier this month.

The German has been fined 45,000 pounds by the Football Association after he accepted an FA charge for claiming Friend was affected by the decision to allow Mane's goal stand despite being an offside.

An FA statement released on Thursday said "Jurgen Klopp had been fined 45,000 pounds, after accepting an FA charge for comments made following Liverpool's league game against West Ham on February 04, 2019."

'His comments made during a post-match interview breached FA Rule E3(1), as they questioned the integrity of the match referee and/or implied bias.'

Klopp was also fined 8,000 pounds in December for running onto the pitch to hug his goalkeeper, Allison Becker following Divock Origi's last-minute goal in the Merseyside derby at Anfield.
