The D-day of the rescheduled Presidential and National Assemblies elections has arrived and Nigerians are ready to vote for their preferred candidates.
Here is 6 facts you should know about the mouthwatering 2019 general Elections.
1. The 2019 general election will be the sixth Election since 1999 when the military head of state then General Abdulsalam Myhammed handed over to the civilian.
2. Independent National Electoral commission announced that the total number of registered voters is 84,004,084 that's an 18 percent increase to the numbers of registered Voters in 2015.

3. 72 candidates are contesting for this year's presidential election that's the highest in the history of Nigeria's democracy.
4. Out of the 84,004,084 registered voters, 11,228,582 are ineligible to vote because they failed to pick up their Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs.
5. President Muhammadu Buhari, who is the flagbearer of the All Progressive Congress is the oldest candidate while the Advance Alliance Party (AAP) Chika Ukaegbu is the youngest.
6. Lagos State have the highest numbers of registered voters with 6,048,158 while Ekiti have the lowest numbers of registered voters with 909,967 registered electorates.
