Sweden head coach snubs Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The former internazionale and juventus striker will not form part of Janne Anderson's 23-man squad for the world cup in Russia, Sweden football association has revealed.

The president of Sweden Football Association, Lars Richt  has ended any hope of the LA Galaxy forward playing in at the World Cup scheduled to take place in Russia later this year despite claims he will be at the mundial.

The 36 years old former Paris Saint -Germain goal poacher, who last featured for the Swedish national team in 2016, recently claimed that if he want to go to the world cup nobody could stop him from not participating at the tournament.

"i talked to Zlatan on Tuesday. He announced he did not change his mind about the national team- it is a no." said Lars Richt

The ex Manchester United striker told Jimmy Kemmel Live that he would go to the world cup at his own accord, but he was careful with his choice of words. He said "Am going to the World Cup, yes. if i say more, they will hang me, so i have to be very careful what i say,"

"A World Cup without me wouldn't be a World Cup." he concluded.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is the Swedish national team all time highest goalscorer, scored 62 goals in 116 games for the Blagult.
