Sergio Ramos suggested that jose Mourinho didn't grasped the way things works at Real Madrid
Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos told the press that his former manager Jose Mourinho failed at Real Madrid because of his inability to grasped how the team works.
Jose Mourinho joined Los Blancos in 2010 after he won the UEFA Champions League with Internationale. Three years later he quit the club having won the one Laliga, One Spanish super cup and the copa Del Rey titles.
Jose mourinho also led Real Madrid to three champions league semi-final defeats during his three years stay at the Spanish capital.
Ahead of today's UEFA Super Cup clash in Skopje, Sergio Ramos said his current Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is a better than Mourinho at understanding the dressing room.
'My view is that when a team has a new coach it changes a great deal, how to manage the dressing room... Zidane is good at understanding our dressing room. Mourinho had alot of experience.' he said.
'They are both great coaches and we're grateful to live this historical moment with Zidane. '
The Spanish international also revealed that he was close to joining the English side in 2015 before he extended his contract with Real Madrid.
Ramos said: There was an opportunity in the past. It resolved itself in a different way. I'm grateful to United for the interest. It's a great club and i wish them all the best. '
