The Best FIFA award 2017: FIFA shortlists 24 players
World Football Governing body FIFA has revealed the players shortlisted for the Best FIFA Men's award on Thursday.
After conquering European and Spanish football, Real Madrid are the most represented team on the list. Los Blancos are represented by seven players.
The FIFA best accolades was inaugurated last year to revive the World player of the year award, which was merged with France's football Magazine Ballon d'or in 2010. Both parties cut the ties In 2016.
The national team captains and coaches, Media officials and the fans will vote for their favorite player, the award will be handed to the winner in October 23rd this year in London, England.
Real Madrid are represented by inaugural winner Cristiano Ronaldo, Keylor Navas, Luka Modric, Dani Carvajal, Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo.
Barcelona are represented by Andrea Iniesta, Lionel Messi and his strike-partner Luis Suarez while premier league champions Chelsea are represented by N'golo Kante and Eden Hazard.
Last Season Champions League finalist Juventus has two players on the list they are Gigi Buffon and Paulo Dybala.
World most expensive player Neymar jnr is the only player representing Paris Sanit Germain.
Other players shortlisted are Harry Kane, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Antonie Griezmann Robert Lewandowski, Manuel Nenuer, Arturo Vidal, Alexis Sanchez and Pierre Emere Aubameyang, who is the only African on the list.
Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane, Maximilano Allegri, Carlo Ancelotti, Jose Mourinho, Diego Simeone, Luis Enrique and Pep Guardiola, Leornado Jardim, Antonio Conte, Mauricio Pochettino, Joachim Low and Tite are the coaches shortlisted for the FIFA Best Men's coach.
