Arsenal were presented with a trophy after they defeated Bayern Munich on penalties in the first game of their pre-seaaon tour in China but makeshift Captain Petr Cech refused to lift the trophy aloft despite being cheered by his team-mates.

The former Chelsea custodian urged his team-mates not to get carried away by the pre-season trophy and ordered them to save their celebration until the business end of the season.

The ex-Czech Republic shot-stopper said: 'This is not the trophy we lift guys. Let's lift the big one at the end of the season, not this one. "

Arsenal will play against premier league champions, Chelsea, next at the Bird Nest's Stadium in Beijing in their second international champions cup game.
