Mesut Ozil close to signing new Arsenal deal


German midfielder Mesut Ozil is close to signing a new contract with Arsenal after they offered him £280,000 per week.

The ex-Real Madrid midfielder who is in the final year of his previous contract is close to reaching an agreement on a new deal.

The 28 year-old was holding out for £350,000 a week deal, but has accepted Arsenal's offer of £280,000 after the Gunners failed to meet his demand.

The German international joined the Gunners from Real Madrid in a deal worth £37.4 million in 2013. He has made over 150 appearances, scoring 32 goals for Arsenal.

Meanwhile, French ligue side, Paris Saint-Germain are confident of signing Alexis Sanchez, whose contract with Arsenal remain only one year.

PSG are willing to meet Alexis Sanchez's demand of £350,000 a week as they plan on landing the £50 million rated forward.

Cristiano Ronaldo confirms the birth of his twin sons

Real Madrid and Portuguese Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo took to his official Facebook page to confirmed the arrival  of his twin sons, after Portugal's semi-final defeat to Chile in the ongoing FIFA Confederation Cup in Russia. Sportainment reported earlier this month that the 32 years-old gave birth to twins via Surrogate mother, Cristiano reportedly named the twins Eva and Mateo. "I was in the service of National team, as always, body and soul even though my two sons were born. According to Portuguese TV Channel SIC, Real Madrid Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has given birth to twins via a surrogate mother on the west coast of United State. According to the report, the highest paid athlete in the world became a father on the 8th of June. The player named the children Eva and Mateo. Eva and Mateo join Six year old Cristiano junior, who was also born via surrogate mother. There is no official confirmation from Ronaldo's camp.
