Manchester City announces the signing of Benjamin Mendy
Manchester City has completed the signing of French left back Benjamin Mandy from French Ligue 1 champions AS Monaco.
The Frenchman signed a five-year contract with the citizens after passing his medical on Sunday and he will wear the Number 22 Jersey previously worn by Gael Clichy.
Mandy is the third defenders to have joined Pep Guardiola's side this summer following the arrival of Kyle Walker and Danilo from Totteham and Real Madrid respectively.
'Am absolutely delighted to have joined Manchester City.' Mandy told official city's website.
'They are one of Europe's leading clubs and in Pep Guardiola they have a coach that is committed to playing attacking football.'
"Am sure that over the next few years we will be successful.'
Pep Guardiola has spent £100 million on full backs alone this summer, they signed Kyle Walker from Totteham for £54 million, Paid £52 million for Benjamin Mandy from AS Monaco and they also captured Danilo from Real Madrid for £27 million.
