Klopp backs Salah to succeed at Liverpool
Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp has defended the club decision to sign Mohammed Salah for a record £36.9m.
The Eyptian, who arrived at the Merseyside side from Italian Seria A outfit AS Roma last month, has been backed to succeed at Anfield by his coach.
Mohammed Salah scored his first goal in a Liverpool shirt against Wigan Athletic in a friendly match on Friday night.
Many Critics has questioned Liverpool's decision to splash £36.9 on a player who failed to live up to expectations Chelsea three years ago.
The German Coach recalled the first day he saw Salah play, he said has been following the ex Roma player career since then.
Klopp said "Many players has shown it's easy to struggle at Chelsea Kelvin De Bruyne is one other them. The only thing we ignore is what he did at Chelsea.
"We played against him when he was in Basel and we didn't know him. We played with Dortmund against him and when I was watching he was unbelievable! The moment I said "Let's go for him" he was already at Chelsea and then he struggled at Chelsea because it was too early.
'Then he went to Florentina and then Roma the question is what did you not see in him' because he plays all inclusive football. He was quick, he played a lot of games, he create goals, chances and also score by himself.
'He was involved in pretty much or everything for Eypty at the African cup of nations.'
Liverpool will play against fellow premier league club Crystal palace on Wednesday in their third pre-seaaon friendly match.
