James joins Bayern Munich on a two years loan deal
Colombia international James Rodriguez has joined Bayern Munich from Real Madrid on a two years loan deal worth up £40 million as he reunite with his former coach Carlo Ancelotti.
James Rodriguez and Carlo Ancelotti worked together at Real Madrid before the latter was sacked in 2016.
The Bundusliga Champions has the option to buy the Colombia skipper permanently in 2019. The midfielder will have his medical with the German powerhouse before he completes the move.
The Bavarian took to their social media account to announced the signing of the Colombian midfielder, who will celebrate his 26th birthday tomorrow.
Bayern Munich Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "We're delighted we've been able to complete this transfer. Signing James Rodriguez was our coach Carlo Ancelotti's biggest wish, following their successful spell working together in Madrid."
"James is a very versatile player. He's a goalscorer himself, he setup a lot of goals and on top of that he is great from set-piece. There's no question that this transfer further increases the quality in our team."
James Scored 36 goals and provided 41 goals in 111 appearances in his three years spell with the Spanish Champions.
