Chelsea confirm they have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Spanish striker

Premier league champions, Chelsea has announced that they have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Spanish international striker, Alvaro Morata.

The premier league champions revealed via their official website that they have agreed to pay the Spanish Champions a whooping 70.6 million pounds for the former juventus forward.

Morata is expected to leave Real Madrid Pre-season training camp in Los Angeles to finalised his move to the London based club on Wednesday night.

The 24 year-old will reportedly sign a five years contract worth £155,000 weekly with Antonio Conte's side.

The fee surpassed the £50m the Blues paid Liverpool for the service of Fernando Torres in 2011. Morata will also become the most expensive Spanish footballer in history.

The Real Madrid youth academy graduate, who rejoined Los Blanco from Juventus in 2016, scored twenty goals in all competition last season despite playing second fiddle to Karim Benzema.
