Brazilian midfielder set for Lazio move


Liverpool has accepted Lazio £5million bid for Brazilian Midfielder Lucas Leiva, who has spent ten years at Anfield.

The ex Gremio midfielder stay at the Meseyside club is set to come to an end after they accepted the Seria A outfit offer of £5million.

The 30 year-old, who has been saying goodbyes to his teammates, is expected to reach personal terms with the Italian side in coming days.

Lucas was a among the players that travelled with Liverpool to Australia for the start of their pre-seaaon training. The veteran will feature in Friday's friendly match against Wigan.

Leiva joined the premier league club from Gremio ten years ago in a deal worth the exact amount Liverpool want to sell him.

Lucas,  who was voted as Liverpool best player in 2011, has played over 350 matches, scoring seven goals for the Reds.
