"in Spain am treated like a criminal" - Cristiano told Zidane


Real Madrid and Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo disclosed to his manager Zinedine Zidane via phone conversation that he is treated like criminal in Spain, according to Spanish radio station.

Spain's tax office accused Ronaldo of defrauding them of 14.7m euros from 2011 to 2014, which led to Cristiano's decison to leave the Spanish Champions. He was said to be upset with the Spanish tax authorities.

Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane called the Portuguese on Sunday in a bid to convince him to stay at the club after the four-time ballon d'or winner threatened to quit the club if he is convicted.

Spanish Radio Station COPE claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently away on international duty in Russia told his manager: "in Spain am treated like a criminal. It starts with the media."

The Sun reported that Ronaldo told his agent to do everything possible to make sure that he return to Manchester United this summer.

Cristiano moved to Manchester United as a youngster in 2003. After six years and 118 goals in all competitions with the Red Devils, he was transferred to Real Madrid in 2009.

Cristiano Ronaldo is Real Madrid all-time record goalscorer with 406 goals in 394 matches. He has won numerous individual and collectives accolades with Los Blancos.
