"Cristiano is Real Madrid player and will continue to be" - Florentino Perez
Popular Spanish media outlet Marca interviewed the 70 year-old and he talked about Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo's irreversible decision to leave the Bernabeu this summer. Perez insists that Ronaldo is going nowhere.
"I plan to talk to him one day. I have not talked to him yet. We do not want to disturb his concentration on the national team, I do not know anymore, what some have written or others had said." Perez explained to Marca
"I think this issue (tax issues) is the worst thing that has been set upon Cristiano, and I agree with him. Some media have presented his image, more or less delinquent, and doing that a person of his professional prestige and honesty, is by all accounts not easy to comprehend. The presumption of innocence has not been taken into account." he added.
The president insisted that no offer has been made for the Portuguese skipper, he said Ronaldo is Real Madrid player and will continu to be Real Madrid player.
His words: "No offer has arrived and what we know is that Ronaldo is a Real Madrid player and will continue to be just like everybody else. There is no offer".
However, the President asked for patience and calm till after the ongoing FIFA Confederation Cup in Russia, he said: "The Confederation cup final is on Sunday next week and we are in the month of June. He has not said anything and this is talked about because an intermediary has said he wants to leave. It is interesting to know what he thinks. I asked for calm and patience."
