Barcelona re-sign Deulofeu from Everton


Barcelona have announced the signing of Gerard Deloufeu from Premier League side Everton. The Blaugrana activated the buy-back clause in his contract when he permanently joined Everton in 2015.

Everton signed the Spanish U-21 international permanently in July 1,2015 after spending a season-long loan at the Goodison Park in 2013.  He was sent out on a season-long loan to AC Millan, where he scored four goals in17 league appearances.

FC Barcelona paid 12 million euro for the service of their homegrown player, who made almost 70 appearances and scored 27 goals for Barcelona B team. He made his official first team debut 2012.

Barca official statement to announce the news:"FC Barcelona have activated buy-back clause for Gerard Deloufeu. In the following days, the term will be agreed with both Everton and the player. Deloufeu contract will run until 30 June 2019."

Deloufeu, who is currently with Spain U-21 squad ahead of the UFEA U-21 European championship final against Germany, played 37 league matches for Everton, scoring just 2 goals.

He has been capped three times by the Spanish National football team. He made his international debut in 2014.
