Manchester United topple Real Madrid as the most Valuable club in Europe


Manchester United has been named as the richest club in the Europe by KPMG. Manchester United toppled Real Madrid in the latest research by the professional firm.

The latest study by KPMG's professional has Manchester United ahead of both both Real Madrid and Barcelona despite owing a huge debt.

The Professional looked at the finances of the 39 clubs based on their popularity on social media channels, revenues for 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons and success in European competitions.

The professional firm judged the clubs by how much it will cost to buy any given club and it includes their business's total debt.

Premier League teams lead the charge with six representatives in the top 10. Real Madrid came second despite their recent success in Europe and LaLiga while Barcelona are placed in the third position.

Bayern Munich remain in the fourth position while Manchester city edge past Arsenal to take the fifth position. Chelsea,  Liverpool, Juventus  and Tottenham completes the top 10. Atletico Madrid occupied the number 13 spot while Leicester city and Everton are placed in the 17th and 18th position respectively.
