Monaco disrespected the Coupe de France - Verratti

Italy and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has accused Monaco of showing lack of respect for the Coupe de France after Monaco rested their key players against PSG in the semi final of the coupe de France. The match ended 5-0 In favour of Paris saint-Germain.

Monaco gaffer Leonardo Jardim rested most of his key players for the semi final clash. The likes of
Fabinho, Bernardo Silva, Danijel Subasic, Nabil Dirar and Almamy Toure were left on the bench.

Marco Verratti said "if I was a Monaco player, I would be upset with club and the coach,” the Italy international told journalists in the mixed zone after the final whistle. “It is fine to rotate a little but this was exaggerated. They disrespected the Coupe de France.”

Unai Emery's side can lift the Coupe de France trophy for a record 11 times  against Angers in May.
