Antonio Valencia extends Manchester United contract until 2019
Manchester United full back Antonio Valencia has signed a new contract at the club till June 2019, with an option to extend for a further year, the Europa League Champions disclosed via their website on friday. The Ecuador international has been key member of Jose Mourinho's title winning side this season. The 31 year-old defender was hailed as the best full back in the world by his manager in January. Valencia, who won Manchester United Players' Players award this season, joined Manchester United in 2009 from Wigan Athletic has won 2 premier league, one FA cup, two league cup and one Europa League. "Manchester United has been my life since 2009 and I am absolutely delighted to have signed a new contract . "I would like to thank the manager for the confidence he has given me this season and I am very sure we will be challenging on all fronts next season." Valencia told the club website.
