A three storey-building in Ilasa area of Lagos State was reported to have collapsed. The ugly scene was said to have occurred in Abimbola street on Thursday afternoon, several individuals were said to have been trapped in wreckage. Emergency Agency trained response personnels are now on the ground trying to rescue the victims. We learnt that the incident happened around 2pm. The reason while the building collapsed is still unknown as at the time of compiling this report.

In a video released by the Boko Haram Leader, Abubakar Shekau, One of the chibok girls identified as Maida Yakubu was seen holding an AK-47 rifle and stating the reasons she prefer living with the Boko Haram terriosts. She enumerated the reasons why she wants to forever remain with her captors. "My name is Maida Yakubu from Chibok town, my mother's name is Esther and my father's name is Yakubu," one the girl spoke in Hausa language. Maida said her number one reason for supporting the terriost is because she didn't want to stay in a town full of infidelity. She also urged people to follow the Quran and Hadith and not the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria because What Allah said will definitely happen, whether they like it or not. Three children were reportedly rescued, after their callous stepmother locked them up in a room.  The motive of the wicked mother was to starve the children to death. According to the Report, the woman locked the three children in a room, immediately after their father travelled out of the state. There was pandemonium and confusion in Ikeja High Court on thursday, May 11,2017, after a witness slumped and died before testifying before the judge in a land ownership case. One Babatunde Olaogun, 33, has been arrested by the police after he allegedly sent fake bank alert to a customer after buying 25 laptops worth N4.5 million. After buying the laptops, Olaogun promised to pay within two weeks but refused to pay. He, however, sent fake bank alert, otherwise called magic alert, to the seller.  Police said the suspect was arrested and arraigned sometime last year when he allegedly used the office of Lagos State governor to defraud a car dealer. Olaogun, who was paraded yesterday at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, owned up to the crime. According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), two Nigerians have been shot dead in Cape Town, South Africa. According to the reports, The chairman of the Nigerian Union in South Africa, Mike ibitoye disclosed that the deceased were shot by an unidentified assailants. "Mr Ernest Ughakwesili, 42, a native of Nkpor, idemili North local Government Area of Anambra state, was shot in a night club by gunmen at strand Area of Cape Town last Sunday," Mr Ibitoye disclosed to NAN via telephone conversation. " The assailants escaped after the shooting and the victim died before being rushed to the hospital. " he added. The chairman of the Union also said the second victim, Chimezie Oranusi, 26, from Anambra state, was shoot dead with his South African friend in a car in Delst, Cape Town. Ibitoye said the objective behind the killing has not been ascertained, but the police had commenced investigations

A 39 year-old Emmanuel Macron won the France Presidential Election against all Odds . With this victory, the Centrist candidate becomes the youngest President in the history of the country. The 80 Chibok school girl that were released yesterday May 6, by the deadly terriost  group BOKO Haram are presently in Abuja. The 80 chibok school girls were received and addressed by Abba Kyari, who is the president's chief of staff at the Abuja Airport. Vanguard reported that an anonymous source close to the girls said one of the girl was carrying a baby, which was believed to be hers. It was also reported that one Nigerian senator identified as Shehu Sani disclosed that the negotiation between the Federal Government and the terriost group lasted for three or four months.

The speaker of the Nigeria House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara on friday May 5,showed some Patients at the Abubakar Tafawa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi state the dividends of Democracy by paying their Hospital bills.  The speaker paid N1.26 million for five patients with critical issues, he also dropped N2.5 million with the hospital's management to cover the bills of others patients.
